About Us

This group started the 2009 season with the purpose of creating an atmosphere at Rio Tinto Stadium where our team, Real Salt Lake, could have the greatest chance of winning. We have to say that we achieved that goal since Real only lost one of its home games the whole season.

The first Barra members met thanks to a meeting that was organized by the RSL Front Office to try to create a latino supporter's group. When the majority of the people present at the first meeting didn't come back for the second one, a small group of fans decided to take matters into their own hands and work to make this group one of the best in the league. Our first games were a little hard since we only had one drum, a few flags, and a couple of banners.

However things have now changed, La Barra has grown tremendously and our people now fill our section game after game. We are still looking for people that are truly interested in being part of our barra, as well as supporting our team, Real Salt Lake. We need people who can support the whole 90, who like to have fun, chant, jump, and sing. It doesn't matter if your Spanish isn't that good, (we'll make sure you learn the key words haha), because when we join together in our stadium we are all united under one passion, one team, and one feeling, Real Salt Lake.

Say NO to imitations
La Barra Real has NOT changed its name for the 2010 season, we are still the ORIGINAL latino supporters; REMEMBER THIS: "IMITATED BUT NEVER DUPLICATED" We do not seek fame or air time and do not want anything more than to see our team be champion one more time.
